Delicious Custard Toast made with milk bread, eggs, heavy whipping cream, and sugar, perfect for a breakfast treat. Optionally, add cinnamon and nutmeg to enhance the flavor.
1: Slice toast into 1 1/2 inch thickness. 2: In a medium sized bowl, use a whisk to combine eggs, heavy whipping cream, vanilla, sugar, and salt. Whisk vigorously until egg white lumps disappear, then strain the mixture into a clean bowl. 3: Dunk the toasts into the custard until fully saturated. 4: Fry on a non-stick pan on medium high heat with butter, and cook for 4 minutes per side or until the surface has browned. 5: Cut each toast in half, then serve with toppings such as powdered sugar, maple syrup, and butter, sliced into squares.
